Located on the Glaciated Allegheny Plateau, Dublin has relatively flat topography. The Dublin City School District has three high schools (Coffman, Scioto, and Jerome), four middle schools (Sells, Davis, Grizzell, and Karrer) and fourteen elementary schools. As of autumn 2006, the approximate student enrollment was 13,200. School year 2017-2018 enrollment exceeds 16,200.
